Dustin Blunier

Director of Agronomy

Dustin Blunier is an experienced agronomist and agribusiness professional with a strong track record in the commercial agriculture industry. He currently serves as Director of Agronomy for PhycoTerra, where he leads technical agronomy efforts. In this role, Dustin bridges the gap between research, product development and commercialization teams, translating field-level insights into actionable information and strategies, supporting the dissemination of performance data, product messaging, and trial results.

A Certified Crop Advisor, Dustin brings over two decades of expertise in agronomic consulting, precision seeding technology, and product development. His career has included leadership roles in training, marketing, event management, and grower consulting, working with top-tier farm equipment companies Precision Planting and Falcon Soil Technology as well as crop input companies Helena Agri-Enterprises and AgReliant Genetics to help growers implement data-driven fertility and seeding programs.

Dustin is passionate about understanding the systems that drive food production and leveraging technology to make agriculture safer, more productive, and more sustainable. Known for his hands-on, collaborative approach, he works closely with growers and agronomists to ensure that innovations are practical, scalable, and impactful—maximizing the value of every acre.

Originally from a farm in central Illinois, Dustin now lives in Hanna City, just outside the Peoria area, with his wife and three children. A graduate of the University of Illinois, he has spent the last 20 years working in the agriculture industry, combining deep-rooted experience with a forward-thinking approach to agronomic innovation.
